Allie Sealey drove four and a half days to record original songs for her first album, "Best Friend", in memory of her grandfather, in Nashville, TN.
Being her grandfathers primary caregiver allowed her to play original and cover songs to him daily.
"Hospice care was a heart wrenching experience and on his final night he was restless. I asked him if he would like me to play a few songs and he said yes, sat up and turned off the TV. I played him, "Stars" by Grace Potter, "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion, and "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra. I remember thinking, "Who will I play for now?"
There is a moon tattoo on her wrist and on the physical copy of the CD in his memory.
